Zion National Park Information

Zion Visitor CenterThe Visitor Center in Zion Canyon is located just inside the south entrance of the park. Here you will find helpful information from knowledgeable rangers, outdoor displays, and interpretive patio talks. The Zion Natural History Association offers an official gift shop and bookstore . This is also where you catch the free park shuttle.

Zion Backcountry Desk

If your plan includes an adventure, permits for overnight backpacking, canyoneering, and climbing are available at the Backcountry Desk. Backcountry rangers can help you plan your backcountry trip. You can also make reservations for certain backcountry trips online at the Zion National Park website: www.nps.gov/zion .

Shuttle System

The Zion and Springdale free shuttle system is the best way to get around the town and the park. With over 2.5 million visitors a year coming to Zion parking is scarce in the park. Plan ahead and take what you need for the day. Shuttles arrive at each of the designated shuttle stops about every 7-10 minutes and link the town of Springdale with Zion National Park. Find parking in the town or the visitor center parking lot and sit back-enjoy the scenery.
